NeptuneCafe is a virtual astrology magazine, one of the best I've seen online. There's something of the feel of coffeehouse conversations, if all the patrons were smart and savvy
astrophiles on espresso - the think drink. Don't miss Michael Wolfstar's weekly NewsScope column. Guest columns by well known astrologers - well, astrologers well known within the astrological community - can be quite an eye opener to people who think astrology begins and ends with Sun Signs. Who knew astrology could be popular without Sun Signs?

In the industrialized world, why is the U.S. the most violent nation?
The Scorpio Rising chart uniquely explains this tendency, especially when considering the problem as a health issue. The 6th and 12th houses are coming under increased stress. more
1. The Sun squares Mars on the 7th but is in effect from the 1st through the 8th since Mars simultaneously aspects Uranus and Pluto. This dynamic gives those under its influence great determination, strong will power, and an intensely competitive drive. The downside is self-destructive and/or aggressive behavior, spontaneous eruptions, and angry or dangerous actions. Erratic, opinionated hotheads dominate at this time.

2. Neptune conjoins the U.S. Ceres on the 7th and completes several other major aspects during the month, making Neptune the reigning influence in U.S. politics, business, and military tactics. At its best, Neptune brings idealism and hope, but its square to the U.S. Uranus on the 13th brings out some of the negative themes. These include disillusionment in the political process, the uncertainty of the oil markets (ruled by Neptune), and the quagmire in Syria.

3. The New Moon on the 8th takes place at 19º Aquarius, a degree which is heavily emphasized at this time. The New Moon marks an important ending and new beginning for anyone with planets at 18º or 19º, especially concerning relationship patterns, both personal and work-oriented. The coming month is a good time to network, get involved in social media and expand your circle of friends.

4. Black Moon Lilith is quincunx (150º) Chiron on the 19th, but is an influence all month. Those in personal relationships may be challenged to deal with some core issues, while those not in a relationship may feel out of place socially. Beware of deception, passive aggressive behavior, and actions rooted in psychological pain. Find creative ways to deal with hidden problem areas.

5. Jupiter opposes Chiron on the 23rd, and is in effect from the 17th to 28th. Under this polarized vibe, those who feel adrift may find hope, while those who display over-confidence face a setback. Technical analysis may destroy wishful thinking, or faith may bring illumination to skeptics. Ideally, one finds the balance between life in the manifest world and one’s intuitive connections to the spirit world. Be generous to lost souls.
