"The natal chart is like a seed and progressions are the unfolding in time of that into the plant it is to become. Transits, are like a daily weather report. In political astrology, these three factors have to be taken into account!"

re: Trump - You asked on your site "will Trump win,". According to my calculations, Trump's progressed Part of Fortune will be closely square natal Uranus in Gemini, which is Natally in his 10th house. I do not think so - but it is possible that this could indicate the the election of Trump could be a shock to everyone including him!!
A. Perhaps so. That would be a shock and disruptive to the political system. But like you, I doubt he will win. Historically, the only connections involved with tenth house indicators have been harmonious aspects, most commonly, the conjunction.
re: Sanger - Your writing on Margeret Sanger just makes her sound like such a lovely lady to do such wonderful things like paving the way for women and all... but really. DID her hatred for anything other than the white race get left out intentionally or are you just unaware?
I just love your astrological insight. But I swear you color it so much with your desire for the left to be all and win all. Maybe you just really dont realize it and see it ....I also am aware that there are not many Conservatives like myself who actually have a deep love or any understanding for astrology at all. You are obviously incredibly intelligent - or else you would not be able to comprehend the depths of Astrology the way you do.... but I have to say that intelligence stops when it comes to the loves of the left, communism, socialism, etc....
A. Actually, I am aware of her Nazi-like favoring of white supremacy. It's quite abhorrent. The problem is that I have only 250 to 300 words to get my astrological point across. I don't have the space to go into which of her policies were "good" and which were "bad". My aim was only to show how her birth control program was interconnected to today's politics via the Solar Eclipse.
re: U.S. economy - Isn't it a little ironic that the series of Uranus/Pluto squares is now over: ending in Spring 2015. Yet now, the economy starts to look shaky again with China's slowdown. Apparently 10 years of Federal Reserve intervention has its limits. It is almost like Uranus partially offset the Pluto opposition to the USA Sun but is no longer helping.
A. Uniquely in the U.S., Uranus has been a minor player in the Uranus-Pluto square. Most likely, the reason is because in the U.S. chart, the progressed Ascendant has been aligned with natal Pluto, emphasizing this factor. You can read about this in more detail at plutocracy.
re: Pluto - You wrote: "However, the times are changing and elections may be decided by the Pluto factor." Thinking about this at a people level makes me cringe. A connection to the U.S. Moon used to be of the utmost importance. As a candidate, you have to connect with the people. You serve them. They vote for you. But now, it's all about power. The people don't matter anymore. SIGH
re: Syria - I always enjoy your weekly column. This week's piece on Syria was particularly of interest. When I changed the time (from Campion at 6 AM) to the Tyl time, I saw all you spoke about. Additionally I looked at the astrocartography map and the local space map. The latter shows the BML line going into the heart of Russia. This is particularly ominous...
re: Cubs - You wouldn't, by any chance, have a Chart for the Chicago Cubs Baseball Team? I can't seem to find any definitive date, except for 1870. I love to root for the Underdog.
re: Hillary - As a long term Hillary fan, I am delighted about her good showing in the recent Democratic debate. Those who dislike Hillary just love to drop those "hints of scandal" in an attempt to derail her campaign. The political pundits and the mainstream media are in for a revelation: Hillary is and has always been a great Presidential candidate!
re: mass murders - I think you have provided very convincing astrological details that confirm the Scorpio rising chart for the United States. It looks as though transiting Uranus will move out of orb to progressed Mars before too long. Do you think this will create a respite from mass murders such as the recent one in Oregon? I know there are other factors involved but taking Martian anger out of the set up looks positive for the future. Do you agree?
A. Yes, transiting Uranus will soon be out of range of activating the U.S. progressed Mars, but that definitely does not end the escalating trend of mass murders. Next come transiting Pluto, and also progressed Lilith will be joining progressed Mars in the U.S. 12th house. Progressed Lilith is just entering the U.S. 12th house now and will conjoin progressed Mars in January 2023, with both opposing progressed Chiron in the 6th house of health. This is an extremely dangerous set-up regarding violence as a health issue, and will be periodically activated by numerous outer planet transits between now and 2023.
re: guns - Given that the gun lobby is huge and powerful and that stupid amendment is, like, scripture to people, do you, also given this chart configuration, ever see anything ever being done to mitigate this stupidity? I refer you to Australia taking away everyone's guns after a particularly horrific mass killing. Since that nation-wide confiscation, no more mass killings. Imagine. Surprising how no guns can result in no killings.) I know that this is unlikely to happen to the Australian degree. But do you see gun enthusiasts giving an inch ever anywhere at all? Ever?
A. The Australian government didn't do a nation-wide confiscation of guns, but offered to buyback guns. The program was genius and inspirational, but would Americans follow suit? Unlikely any time soon, to my dismay.

re: NewsScope - Thank you, as always, for a column that I check first thing in the morning on Mondays!
re: European Union - Since the refugee crisis, much talk has centered around the difficulties of taking in such a mass of peoples whose cultures are so very different from those of Europe. I do hear more about the urgency of dealing with migrants that are huge in number and in many ways demanding, rather than desiring of fitting in wherever there opens a door. Most recently there's the opinion that this large-scale migration may well signal the end of the European Union. Some even are considering conspiracy theories of how such a movement was initiated, is perpetuated, and who it helps (i.e. Russia, the US and their oil interests). What do you see in the stars for the EU's future?
A. Sorting out the conspiracy theories from what's happening on the ground and the shifting policies of the various nations involved makes this a complex issue. The chart I use for the European Union, set for November 1, 1993, currently has transiting Uranus squaring the natal Uranus-Neptune conjunction, which fits the disrupting influence caused by the flood of immigrants. Beyond that, I can't say how this will work itself out. What happens in Syria is, of course, relevant, and there we have a state of constant flux, not to mention the numerous surrounding players vying for control. How Russia and the U.S. come to terms (or not) with the Middle East is another unknown vector. In short, there are too many variables to make any definitive statement on the effects to the Eurozone. However, I will study the EU chart some more and see if any internally directed effort can be mustered to resolve the crisis.
re: Saturn-Neptune - As you pointed out in your (5) astrological events for November 2015, the Saturn/Neptune square on 11/26/2015 is prominent. You showed in the European Union chart that natal Neptune is being squared by transiting Uranus. I would like to point out that transiting Neptune in the Scorpio Rising USA chart is also squaring natal Uranus in the 8th house.
So Uranus in the US chart has Neptune square to it while Neptune in the EU chart has a Uranus square in effect now. While Saturn afflicts both. Coincidence? I think all this shows the difficulty of maintaining our free Internet(Uranus) while Neptune is showing the downside of a border-free world.
I very much hope that all this is the "irritant" that produces the "pearl" of gained wisdom as you so aptly state in your Newscope article. Sadly, I just do not know if the pearl is wishful thinking or what. People of good will know what this future world might look like but the way there is not at all clear.
re: Mog - Think they'll make Mog, the movie? I think it'd be great fun... love Emma Thompson... Thanks for the "heads up" video---hadn't seen this elsewhere...
re: EU - The last few days have shown a willingness to fight back against the terrorists that certainly does not reflect any "stunned paralysis" in the European Union. France and Russia are now cooperating in air strikes against ISIS in Syria and if the US would get off its duff maybe, just maybe some real progress could be made in defeating these monsters called ISIS. On another note even the hacking group Anonymous has finally realized ISIS is a greater threat than any western government to their vaunted freedom of ideas. All this to say, I do not think your interpretation of the EU chart is telling the real story
A. French president Hollande attempted to get the U.S. and Russia on the same page, but the two external powers do not agree on the fate of Syrian president Assad. But perhaps "stunned paralysis" is not the right interpretation of the progressed Midheaven to the EU's Mars-Pluto square Saturn. The Saturn-Pluto combination is known for its intense nationalism and conservative or tightening policies. Individually, the EU nations are closing their borders and ratcheting up security measures, which is in accord with the activation of the EU's Mars-Pluto conjunction in Scorpio. But it doesn't bode well for the EU as a larger geopolitical entity, which we might say is in a state of paralysis.

The Insane Violence Configuration
Nowadays, the headlines are invariably filled with stories of intolerance, violence, and terrorism. These trying times can be attributed to several planetary dynamics, with at least two due to factors outside mainstream astrology: Black Moon Lilith and Eris. In June and September 2016, transiting Eris and Uranus will be conjunct at 23º Aries, making them a major disruptive influence through the summer months.
Black Moon Lilith is currently in Libra along with transiting Mars, and both are heading into the square with Pluto and the opposition to Uranus. Individually, each of these archetypes has their own purpose and pattern of expression, which may have positive results. But collectively, this four-planet configuration provokes the meanest, most radical and bizarre behavior imaginable. Those with prominent planets in the middle degrees of cardinal signs are the most likely to experience or express these energies.
As discussed in my article, Violence in America, Mars has progressed into the U.S. 12th house, and Black Moon Lilith is also right on the cusp of the 12th house. In these positions (at 18º and 16º Libra respectively), they are picking up natal placements as well as the current transits of Mars, Lilith, Uranus, and Pluto. The faster moving Mars transit is in effect now, and will activate this configuration over the next two weeks.
The U.S., France, and Putin all have major natal planets in this degree area which are being activated now and over the coming two weeks. But the craziness is bound to continue since Black Moon Lilith and Pluto square each other on January 10, 2016, which indicates a peak for this current cycle of madness. Lilith goes on to oppose transiting Uranus in late January, and then Eris in mid-March. It’s under these crazy celestial conditions that Americans will choose their presidential candidates.
December’s Top Five Astro-Events
1. Mar activates the Uranus-Pluto square on the 6th and 10th. This highly volatile, dangerous aspect can be considered in effect from the 1st through 12th. In Libra, Mars promotes engaging social events, but watch out for accidents, unexpected developments, and rude, inconsiderate people. Tempers flare under these celestial conditions; one can’t be too cautious when driving and shopping. Expect numerous incidents of violence to lead the news.
2. Mercury conjoins Pluto on the 19th and squares Uranus on the 20th. Mercury also squares Black Moon Lilith on the 18th, filling this three-day phase with potential communication and travel snafus. For some, this may be an excellent time to solve business-related issues since Mercury-Pluto in Capricorn fosters research and sees clearly the most practical options. Avoid obsessive thinking, but consider the potential hidden aspects of various scenarios.
3. Pluto squares the U.S. Saturn on the 24th, the third and final connection between these two. Saturn represents the American institutions in the process of re-building themselves under Pluto’s influence over the past year. One obvious manifestation has been the numerous buy-outs and mergers in the corporate world. The political institutions are more under control of the plutocrats than ever before, and the military is redefining its role to fight terrorism rather than nuclear war. Watch for further developments on all these fronts this month.
4. The Cancer Full Moon on the 25th takes place just as Uranus turns direct, marking a peak family experience for many -- especially since this astro-event takes place on Christmas. The strong influence of Uranus suggests that many gifts will be high-tech gadgets and other electronic items. Also at this time Mercury trines Jupiter, bringing good cheer in what otherwise may seem to be dismal, troubled times.
5. Mercury squares Mars on the 29th, but this testy, irritable influence is in effect from the 26th through 29th. Patience is key during these four days in order to avoid arguments and get through trying travel arrangements. Expect to encounter sharp-tongued relatives or friends, and curb your own tendency to lash out against your better judgment. This Mercury-Mars combo can bring out excessive criticism, constant and annoying interruptions, and mean-spirited actions. Fair warning!
The Force Awakens the Millennials
The generation now known as “The Millennials” and formerly as “Gen Y” has distinct astrological markers that set them off from previous generations. In 1991, sociologists pointed to 1982 as the beginning of the Millennial generation and asserted that they are innately more conservative and in tune with their parents than the three preceding generations. All this has proved to be true.
In 1983 Neptune entered Capricorn and was soon followed by Uranus in 1988. In his book Cosmos & Psyche, Richard Tarnas describes the Uranus-Neptune cycle as defining “epochal shifts of cultural vision”. The combination of Uranus and Neptune bring the possibility of a radical healing of both a physical and spiritual order, and “the evoking of an ethic of universal compassion and the spiritual union of humankind.”
The influence of Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn reached maximum voltage when they were conjunct in 1992 and 1993. Currently, transiting Uranus in Aries is squaring this momentous conjunction, activating its significance in geopolitical realities as well as in the lives of individuals born at this time. When Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released on December 18, a new generation of Star Wars heroes will be on display.
To give the two lead actors credibility and continuity from the original 1977 version, veteran actors Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford will make their appearances in the film. The new stars, as portrayed by John Boyega (b. March 17, 1992) and Daisy Ridley (b. April 10, 1992), were both born during the generation-defining Uranus-Neptune conjunction. The Force Awakens shows how the Millennials use the best traditional values as a way of overcoming an evil and corrupt world.
