NeptuneCafe is a virtual astrology magazine, one of the best I've seen online. There's something of the feel of coffeehouse conversations, if all the patrons were smart and savvy
astrophiles on espresso - the think drink. Don't miss Michael Wolfstar's weekly NewsScope column. Guest columns by well known astrologers - well, astrologers well known within the astrological community - can be quite an eye opener to people who think astrology begins and ends with Sun Signs. Who knew astrology could be popular without Sun Signs?

In the industrialized world, why is the U.S. the most violent nation?
The Scorpio Rising chart uniquely explains this tendency, especially when considering the problem as a health issue. The 6th and 12th houses are coming under increased stress. more
1. Mercury is trioctile Black Moon Lilith on the 6th, and a noticeable influence between the 2nd and 8th. Mercury turns direct on the 1st and its first aspect is this challenging one to Lilith in Pisces, which may bring keen insights into the hidden or veiled influences that shape events. Mercury-Lilith is about speaking your truth to authority, about demanding fair play at the risk of being shafted in some way. Weigh the pros and cons of telling people what you know.

2. Jupiter turns direct on the 11th, the same day that Uranus turns retrograde. The simultaneous station of two outer planets is a rare occurrence and marks a kind of changing of the guard. Someone leaves while someone else arrives. Out with the old, in with the new. Let something or someone go so you can be open to new opportunities. The Jupiter-Uranus vibe brings sudden and spontaneous changes, with plenty of excitement in the air.

3. The Full Moon on the 15th (8:30 am EDT) is an unusually romantic, creative, and playful time for most people since the Sun and Venus are conjunct. The week before and the week after this astro-event bring plenty of social, entertaining, recreational and amorous occasions. For some, this phase marks a critical financial shift or decision point about investments. Spend time with family, loved ones and friends. Enjoy and be grateful for what you have.

4. Venus enters Virgo on the 21st and promptly conjoins Mars to create a sexually charged atmosphere through the 26th. Expect office politics to involve plenty of wooing and schmoozing – the best salespeople have Venus-Mars aspects. Many personal relationships may go through a phase of sexual healing and/or wounding. The natural animal spirits of Venus and Mars need some discipline and respectful limits when in Virgo. This is an excellent phase to experiment with alternative healing methods.

5. Pluto forms a challenging quincunx to the U.S. Mars this month, with the exact aspect arriving on the 9th. At the same time Uranus is also aspecting the U.S. Mars, making a powerful double influence that is sure to make the Pentagon a key political pawn in geopolitical gamesmanship. American cities, as the manifested energy centers of the U.S. Mars, are also under intense pressure, including as centers for political rallies and debates as well as potential target zones for natural and human-caused disasters.
